Over 800 items from the Treloyhan Manor Hotel in St Ives will be auctioned next month, including furniture, artwork, commercial kitchen equipment and ancillary items associated with running a hotel.
Items in the three-day sale, hosted by Pro Auction, include sofas, drapes, desks, headboards and canopies, as well as furniture and fixtures for public spaces, bars and restaurants.
The hotel offers 39 rooms (including 26 en-suite) of accommodation on the ground, first and second floors, including six staff rooms which have the potential to be converted into additional rental accommodation, subject to necessary approvals. The hotel also has a guest lounge, reception lounge, dining room, library and games room. The hotel is located on land that spans approximately 4.11 acres and has parking for 54 vehicles.
Simon Rose of Pro Auction said, “This unprecedented renovation project offers the opportunity to purchase a piece of hotel history at auction as owners pave the way for a new chapter for the Treloyhan.
The Treloyhan Manor Hotel is a stunning 19th century manor house in one of Cornwall’s most beautiful locations, in the seaside resort of St Ives. Built in 1892 by a Cornish shipping tycoon, this impressive building is steeped in history, with many original features preserved, including the oak-paneled lobby.
The hotel was recently sold for £ 3million after a bidding war and was acquired by investors from Manchester.
The auction starting at 10:30 a.m. takes place at the hotel on November 3, 2021 and bidders are invited to attend or participate in the live web auction, viewing the entire auction from the comfort of their living room.
